Basima Abdulrahman 

Basima is a green tech entrepreneur. She is the Founder and CEO of the first company established to synergize green solutions and cloud-computing technologies in Iraq, called KESK. She aims to make sure that current development should not harm the interests of future generations. Her vision is to make smart green solutions trustable, accessible, and profitable. Basima is a World Economic Forum Foundation Board Member and Cultural Leader, TEDx speaker, and Cartier Women’s Initiative laureate on MENA Region. She was selected to co-chair the 2019 WEF Annual Meeting in Davos alongside the CEO of Microsoft and the President of the World Bank. Featured on TIME’s magazine, Inhabitat, Forbes, WEF Agenda, the National among other platforms as a thought leader in the Greentech sector. Basima holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Structural Engineering.
